WEAVING CONSTELLATION
These images are artifacts from weaving and textile explorations with Kathryn Pannepacker and Leslie Sudock of Ready to Hand.
Both are community artists that center human relationships in creative practice. Kathryn is an artist-activist and master tapestry weaver who engages art as harm reduction and facilitates sanctuary spaces. Leslie is an adept in Saori weaving and teaches many methods of hand weaving and dyeing processes to support others in their own practices.
Their teachings supported LI LI 丽丽 LOOM and my LESSER HEAT FESTIVAL installation at Lijiang Studio. I gifted my Saori pieces during my travels to Ida in Shanghai and to Paulina Irazabal of SITTAKA.
