LOVE ENVELOPES
a meditative ritual
The envelope design is screen printed on translucent, textured mulberry paper. I digitally processed ink brush drawings for the graphics.
The inspiration comes from receiving traditional red money envelopes from my mom. I wanted to create a similar ritual experience for notes and small objects that could be posted in the mail.
The print functions like a hybrid, two-sided poster that folds into an A4 size envelope. The unprinted side reveals a subtle interplay between the paper texture and red ink bleed-through.
